Taking Advantage of Your Home Page & Brand Experience

Salesforce Lightning Experience gives businesses a multitude of ways to customize the homepage. Doing so gives for a better user experience, plus it’s an easy way to add your company’s brand to your Salesforce org. The following are a couple of changes a System Administrator can make to the homepage to include their own brand experience.

Themes

A quick way to highlight your brand in Salesforce is to utilize themes. In setup, search “Themes”. Here you will see a list of Salesforce out of the box themes, but it is very easy to create your own. Choose some of your brand’s colors to update your org and upload your company’s logo. Save your custom theme and activate it. You can even upload custom images as a banner for chatter groups and user profiles.

Rich Text

When editing your homepages in Salesforce, or even any record page, there are many different components to utilize which can be customized to continue your brand experience. Rich text allows you to add a component containing images, text, and hyperlinks. Often times I use this component to include company branded flow charts, list company values, links to the company website, or guide users through their day by reminding them about the best practices.

These two changes are simple ways to update your Salesforce org to mirror your company’s brand and get users excited about logging in.
