It may only be in the middle of winter, but the Salesforce Winter ’23 Release has been out for some time now. After testing it out, we’ve compiled our team’s favorite features and functionality now available in your Salesforce org.
Be More Dynamic
We knew Dynamic Forms were amazing when they were first introduced for custom objects in the Winter ’21 release. Now, with the Winter ’23 release, this functionality is available for account, contact and opportunity record pages.
If you’re not already using it, Dynamic Forms enable you to:
- Easily manage page layouts by determining the fields and sections on your page without having to toggle back and forth to the page layout editor
- Reduce the number of page layouts needed with component visibility rules on fields and sections
- Organize your page layouts in a way that makes the most sense for your users
- Like Forms, Related List Filters are getting a Dynamic overhaul. Now you can filter your related lists with multiple values for picklist fields. Need to see all cases with a high or critical priority? Now you can display it on your Related List!
Here are some great examples of how we’ve implemented this for our clients:
- Replaced an internal intake form with a dynamic form leveraging existing fields/data minimizing duplicative data entry and increasing Salesforce usage
- Moved details tab third-party fields to their respective third-party tabs, decluttering and simplifying the primary details, while creating a more intuitive UX.
Get Analytical
If you’re leveraging Salesforce Analytics and struggling with toggling back and forth to your other reports and dashboards, struggle no more. Analytics Home now can include Reports and Dashboards. Just enable the feature in Reports and Dashboards settings in Setup.
Specifically for reports, you can now see details about the Report Type when creating a new report. View what objects and fields are used. Now in Beta, the ability to filter your report types by fields – enabling you to get to the exact data you need faster.
Go With [the] Flow
