Small Business Grants
Are you a small business owner? Has COVID-19 affected your business negatively? It seems everyone I know has been affected in some way from COVID-19. Working for a small business myself has posed its challenges. We are lucky in that business is still running “as usual”, or rather, “as usual” as it can. When watching my own friends and family losing their jobs, being furloughed, or having to shut down their small business’s operations, it can be tough not to worry about what’s to come. Thankfully, there are large companies and government organizations out there trying their hardest to keep small businesses alive.
Salesforce has announced they will be awarding a total of $5,000,000 in grants. Each grant awarded will be $10,000 through their Salesforce Care Small Business Grants program as a part of their COVID–19 response. 300 grants will be distributed in the United States, while the remaining 200 will be distributed internationally.
Qualifying Criteria
The following list is qualifying criteria you must meet to be eligible for a Salesforce Care Small Business Grant:
- Your business must be a for-profit business.
- There must be between 2 and 50 employees of the business to qualify.
- Your business has been negatively affected by Coronavirus (COVID-19)
- The business has not received more than $1,000 in non-governmental grants related to Coronavirus (COVID-19)
- Business has been continuously running since March 1st, 2018
- Have an annual revenue between $250,000 and $2,000,000

Salesforce Care for Small Businesses
Along with grants being awarded, Salesforce is offering a few other tools you and your business could take advantage of. Salesforce is offering 3 months free of their Salesforce Essentials and Tableau tools as part of their Salesforce Care initiative. Visit the Salesforce Care for Small Business website to see what other Salesforce tools and other small business programs you can take advantage of during the Coronavirus (COVID–19) Pandemic. While there are so many unknowns during this time, I find comfort in staying informed. As a small business, it’s important to utilize your resources and Salesforce has many to provide.
