Salesforce Admin Spring ’21 Release

Now that our team at Solving IT Edge has had time to implement and use many of the amazing new features and functionality from the Salesforce Spring ’21 release, it’s time to share some favorites.

Dynamic Actions Enhancements

Dynamic Actions are now generally available for standard objects AND mobile experience. Customizing the user experience for mobile has been a long-standing challenge that we have encountered with our clients. The ability to filter dynamic actions based on form factor is a game changer – we can now have one set of actions on a single Lightning page layout for both mobile and desktop experiences, lightening the lift for admins during build.

This new feature means that we can take advantage of criteria-based dynamic actions in mobile. Dynamic actions reduce clutter and create responsive pages that only display the actions users need to see. Criteria can be based on record details, roles, or profiles, and are customized directly in the Lightning App Builder.

In-App Guidance

Onboarding and training both new and existing users just got a whole lot easier with In-App Guidance in Lightning Experience. Admins can now share customized content to specified target audiences almost anywhere throughout Salesforce. The location and length of time in which the content appears can also be customized.

Gone are the days of new users reaching out to ask how they can create records, update opportunities, convert leads, etc. – they can now have prompts and walkthroughs right at their fingertips.

High Velocity Sales for Opportunities

Many of our clients take advantage of High Velocity Sales and love using the sales cadences to ensure a high-productivity workspace for their inside sales teams. We’ve built extremely effective custom sales process to guide users through different scenarios that typically arise with their prospects. However, we’d yet to have the capabilities which allowed for extending these robust processes to other objects.

We can now leverage sales cadences directly on Leads, Contacts, Opportunities, Accounts, or Person Account records. With this extended functionality, our clients recognize increased efficiencies across what used to be disjointed and manual processes.
