Webinar: Data Visualization Demo – Visualizing Global Health Financial Flows

Join us Wednesday, April 19th at 2:30pm for a live webinar with Michael Freeman, Data Visualization expert and faculty member at the University of Washington’s Information School. He’ll perform a Data Viz demo focused on Visualizing Global Health Financial Flows and will discuss the technical and design challenges of visualizing financial flows in the global health domain.
Mike’s upcoming part-time Data Visualization with D3.js course at Metis Seattle starts May 2nd and runs through June 10th on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. He’ll briefly discuss course structure and outcomes during this webinar.
Michael Freeman is a faculty member at the University of Washington’s Information School where he teaches courses in Data Science, Interactive Data Visualization, and Web Development. Prior to his teaching career, he levered D3.js as a Data Visualization Specialist at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation. There, he built a variety of interactive visualization systems to help researchers and the public explore global health trends. Michael is interested in applications of data visualization to social change, and holds a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Washington.
