NEW DATE: Data & Social Good-Using Data To Improve a Social Impact Organization

December 14, 2016 @ 5:00 pm

Since we cancelled last month’s meeting in favor of the World Series, Softweb has agreed to visit us on a new date: December 14th.  Softweb Solutions has taken on a ‘micro-project’ of using the open data of the North Lawndale Employment Network (NLEN) to improve their social media engagements.

Data is the most valuable resource for businesses, which contains extremely valuable information about business processes as well as many other important aspects. Since a massive volume of both structured and unstructured data is being generated every second, organizations may fail to use this data to its full potential. As a result, they cannot gain insights required to take smart decisions.

In this project, Softweb Solutions has analyzed the social media activities & engagements of NLEN and provided them insights on how to better their cause. We would be using sentiment analysis and other data tools to identify pattern and trends in their social media traffic.
