About the Speaker
Dr. Mark Meloon earned his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics at the California Institute of Technology and started as a senior analyst for a small defense contractor before getting into data science. He currently works as a data scientist for ServiceNow, a Silicon Valley firm that sells enterprise software. There, he works on problems to support the sales and marketing departments, such as churn reduction, lead scoring, and so on. When he’s not at his day job, he’s helping beginning data scientists land their first job, whether they’re coming out of school or are mid-career scientists looking to make a transition. He is very active online, answering questions on Quora, LinkedIn, and Facebook. He also has a blog, complete with a free guide on using LinkedIn, at http://MarkMeloon.com
