May 22 @ 6:00 pm

Patrick and Matt Doyle will be giving an introduction to blockchain technology.   We will be answering the question “What is a Blockchain?”.  This discussion will cover where this technology began, a high level overview of the current state of blockchain and how it is quickly evolving outside the crypto-currency world.

The Speakers: Patrick and Matt Doyle
Both Matt and Pat are Chicago natives.  Matt has spent over 30 years in Financial Services, from managing a $200M derivatives Hedge Fund portfolio (member of the CBOE, PSE, PHLX & CSE), to founding and running numerous proprietary trading Broker-Dealers, to currently one of founding team members of Chicago Pacific Founders Fund (a $325M healthcare services focused private equity buyout fund).  Patrick, after obtaining his undergraduate degree went on to obtain his masters from Notre Dame in Analytics and has held numerous roles in analytics with growing responsibilities at Orbitz and currently with Stryker (a ~$50B public medical technology company).  Both are interested in applications of Blockchain within their organizations and beyond.
