This long-standing healthcare organization had a customer facing application they were looking to convert to newer technologies to make it easier to use. The application was originally developed using Cobol, but they were looking to migrate it over to a more distributed environment using Java. They needed someone to come in and hit the ground running—not only someone with strong development skills, but someone who could also act as an internal consultant, advocate, mentor and change agent.
